Is milord aware of the countless demon lords who inhabit the Demon Realm? There is one among them known as Calamity. Though she is not fond of battle, she has nevertheless been designated as a dangerous foe. This is due to the Miasmic Curse graven upon her. It has caused a terrible miasma to issue endlessly from her body. All it touches withers and dies, and it has rendered her unable to establish friendly relations with the Celestial Realm. It was from this very same Calamity that I received a telepathic message of late. She is pleading for help in stopping Vielle, who has apparently run amok. I will tell you more as we walk, Milord. This way if you please.

- This library houses books from through- out the Celestial Realm. It seems Vielle has come here after receiving word that the grimoire for lifting the curse upon Calamity could be found among these books. However, as one of the eight ministers serving Calamity, Vielle thinks only of her master, which causes her to take things too far. Let us join the search for the curse-lifting grimoire. Hopefully we will be able to keep Vielle from running amok!

- Yikes! Master, Lady Oracle, help! Mia and I were just threatened by some lady with massive magic power! She said she'd pluck off my wings if I didn't find the grimoire for lifting the curse! Even worse, she forced me to join the Calamity Fan Club as a trial member. She said I can become an official member if I find the grimoire, but I never even asked to join in the first place!

- There can be no doubt. The one who Pixie and Mia encountered must have been Vielle. And it seems she has already begun to run amok. Still, 'tis no wonder with all these books. It would be quite a chore to find a single book among all these. It would be wise to seek the aid of one familiar with this library. ...Hm? There's a maiden who just dropped a book over there. Perhaps she could help us.

- The maiden who dropped the book is known as Livre. She serves the head librarian, Leiria, but it seems her reactions are quite slow. In fact, she had not even noticed that the book had fallen. As for the grimoire for lifting the curse, perhaps head librarian Leiria, knows where we might find it. We must make haste and-- Hm? I-I am sensing a great and powerful magic emanating from deep within these halls! Could it be...?!

- Ah! Th-That's Minister Vielle--the one who threatened Mia and me, then forced us to join the Calamity Fan Club! But she seems even more powerful now! I mean, she's practically oozing magic power! The target of the terrible magic power seems to be head librarian Leiria! I-I wonder what's going on?! Let's go see! Hurry, Master!

- Oh, this is most terrible, Milord. Head librarian Leiria is quite upset with all the noise and commotion in the library, and has declared that we have but one more hour to find the curse-lifting grimoire. However, Vielle has no intention of obeying. In fact, she has threatened to destroy the entire library if she is driven out! We must stop her at all costs, for the destructive power of even one of the Eight Ministers is a terrible thing indeed.

- Oh, there you are! Glad I finally found you all. I've been looking for the curse- lifting grimoire, too, but haven't had any luck so far. And now we only have one more hour to find it?! Hmm... I better make a note of that so I don't forget. You know, I could swear I've heard about the Demon Queen Calamity and her Miasmic Curse somewhere before. I better make a note of that, too.

- Milord, Pixie and Mia are working hard to find the grimoire, but their search has yet to bear fruit. The situation has become quite grave, and I fear-- Hm? Th-There is...there is a voice inside my head. 'Tis a familiar voice... Could it be... Calamity?!

- Isn't this wonderful, Master?! Queen Calamity used her telepathy to tell the Oracle where to find the curse-lifting grimoire! The Demon Queen sure is amazing, huh?! Now all we have to do is bring it to Vielle and Leiria! I bet it'll be a huge surprise! Let's hurry!
- We have managed to find the grimoire by the appointed time. Leiria has agreed to lend it to us, but not without great reluctance. Vielle, who bears a deep and abiding love for Calamity, is overjoyed. The only thing left now is to follow the procedure spelled out in the grimoire. Once we do that, the curse upon Calamity will finally be lifted!

- The ritual for lifting the Miasmic Curse upon Calamity will be performed up ahead. Ooh, I better make a note of that, too. But I wonder... With Calamity's telepathic power and your amazing ability to find things, why did it take so long to locate that grimoire? Hmm, I better write that down so I can look into it later.
- Milord, I fear I bear ill tidings. The procedure detailed in the grimoire was unable to lift the Miasmic Curse upon Calamity. She must have known this, for according to Vielle, she said, "I shall not be freed from the curse etched upon me until I shed this mortal coil." But that is too sad an outcome to bear. So, Milord, I have vowed to continue seeking a way to lift the curse upon Calamity. I shall report back to you the moment I find a clue. At such time, it is my hope that you will aid me once more.
